Kula defines a number of user roles that are key to managing people’s access and permissions to access Kula platforms. People and Users are used interchangeably across the article and in its broadest sense are all people who use the Kula platform. Based on the persona of the user they might be allowed or denied access to see and use the product. There are primarily five roles. Each user is assigned a role based on the user invitation flow.

The owner role is the super-admin role. It surpasses all access controls with the power of removing all admins and deleting the Kula workspace.

The feature set is identical to Recruiter, but with access to the Organisation Settings dashboard.

A recruiter has all the permissions of the Hiring Manager role and also has access to Individual User circles, create Kula Flows, add Candidates to Kula Flows, Templates, and Manage Steps Detailed information is provided in the table below.

Hiring managers have all the permissions of the Employee role and also have access to the Kula Flows they’re a part of. They can be added as a collaborator on a Kula Flow by a recruiter/admin/owner.

Employees have access to ‘My Circles, Org Circles, Circles Dashboard, Intro and Referral flows under the Circles module. They can refer any candidate from their Circle for an open role, or to any User in the Kula Platform.
