In this article, we'll explore how to set up Slack integration in Kula and leverage its benefits for enhanced productivity.

Setting up

Configuring the Slack integration in Kula for notifications is a straightforward process. Follow these simple steps to get started:

  1. With Admin permission, please go to your Settings page > Organization tab > Integrations section and enable on the Setup button for the Slack integration

  2. Upon enabling the Setup button, you will be redirected to the Slack page. Click on the Allow button to grant the permissions required in order for Kula to send Notifications through Slack

    3. Once done, you will be redirected back to your Kula Account.

Utilizing the Slack Integration for Notifications

  1. Real-Time Notifications: Important notifications from Kula are delivered instantly to designated Slack channels. These notifications can include candidate responses.

  2. Focused Information: The integration is designed solely for notifications. Users will not be able to initiate conversations or send messages through Slack; it serves as a dedicated channel for receiving updates.

  3. Recipient-Centric: Notifications are sent to flow and step creators, ensuring that the right individuals are informed when their input or action is required. This recipient-centric approach enhances accountability and ensures efficient workflow management.

Supported Notifications

Below are the supported notifications for the Slack integration

Kula Flows Notifications

  1. The user is added as a Flow Sender

  2. A candidate responded - The notification will be sent to both the Flow and Step creator.

    Important notes:

    • When the user clicks on the 'Interested' button, the buttons will be replaced by the text “You have marked as Interested.”

    • When 'Not interested' is clicked, a modal will be opened, allowing the user to enter a comment/note. A dropdown with rejection reasons will also be shown if the candidate has an ATS application.

    • After submitting, a reply will be added to the notification message indicating that the candidate stage has been updated

  3. The link added in a Flow mail step is clicked - The notification will be sent to both the Flow and Step creator.

Note: This is disabled by default. Please reach out to your CSM to enable this notification for your account.

  4. The Candidate opened the Flow mail step - The notification will be sent to both the Flow and Step creator when a candidate has opened a Flow email for the first time.

Note: This is disabled by default. Please reach out to your CSM to enable this notification for your account.

  5. The Flow step bounced - The notification will be sent to both the Flow and Step creator.

Kula Circles Notifications

  1. An introduction is requested from an Employee

  2. The requester and the Employee will receive a notification when the Candidate accepted the Intro

  3. The Intro request was denied by an Employee. This notification is sent to the requester.

  4. The Intro request has been skipped. A request can be skipped if the requester asks for an intro request from multiple employees

  5. The employee accepted the Intro requester from the Recruiter

  6. The Candidate rejected the Intro. Both the requester and the employee will receive the notification.
