Integrate your Microsoft Outlook account with Kula

OVERVIEW

Connecting your Microsoft Outlook account to Kula lets you easily send emails to candidates from the Kula platform. This effectively streamlines your communication process and centralizes all of your candidate interactions.

If your IT administrator has put limits on integrating with third-party applications in your organization, please follow the steps outlined below to ensure seamless integration.

SITUATION A: YOU ARE A NON-ADMIN USER & IT ADMIN CONSENT IS ENABLED

During signup, sign-in, or when added to the account, you will encounter the "Sign up with Microsoft" screen.

Once you proceed, you will encounter the below screen:

(The goal here is to establish the essential permissions for registering and logging in from your Microsoft Outlook account with Kula)

Kindly add a note in the "Enter justification for requesting this app" field and click the "Request Approval" button.

After this is completed, the following screen will be displayed:

Once the request is sent, an email will be sent to you and your IT administrator.

Kindly refer to the below screenshot of what the email would look like on your end:

Once your request is approved by the IT administrator, you will receive an email confirming the successful approval.

With the essential permissions enabled for registering and logging in with Kula, you will now be directed to the Kula app.

You will then be presented with the following screen, where you'll need to select "Connect your Microsoft":

Important Note: Once the IT Administrator approves the request and you can log in to Kula through your Microsoft Outlook account, you will be prompted to go through the process again to set up the necessary permissions for your Microsoft Outlook mailbox in connection with Kula. This is an important step to allow users to send emails through Kula.

(The goal here is to primarily establish the essential permissions for your Microsoft Outlook mailbox with Kula)

Please add a note in the "Enter justification for requesting this app" field and click the "Request Approval" button.

An email will be sent to you and your IT administrator after you complete the above action.

After your IT administrator approves, you will receive another email citing that the approval has been successful.

Once the necessary permissions for Kula and your mailbox have been established, you will encounter the below screen:

Upon successful connection, you will receive this message below that confirms your Mailbox has been connected:

You are all set!


SITUATION B: YOU ARE AN ADMIN USER & IT ADMIN CONSENT IS ENABLED

During signup, sign-in, or when added to the account, you will encounter the "Sign up with Microsoft" screen.

(The goal here is to establish the essential permissions for registering and logging in for your organization's Microsoft Outlook accounts with Kula)

Opt for "Consent on behalf of your organization" and proceed by clicking the "Accept" button. This action will activate the specified permissions for all users within your organization.

Once again, a similar user journey will ensue, and you will be directed to the Kula app.

You will be presented with “Connect Account,” and when you click on the “Connect your Microsoft" button, the following screen will appear:

(The goal here is to primarily establish the essential permissions for your organization's Microsoft Outlook user mailboxes with Kula)

You can choose “Consent on behalf of your organization” and then click on the "Accept" button, which will enable the mentioned permissions for all the users in your organization.

You are all set!
