Get a glimpse into candidate emails before the enrichment process

The Email Preview feature enables recruiters to preview a candidate's email before the enrichment process. This article outlines the different scenarios and previews that recruiters may encounter in Kula.

Email Preview Scenarios:

  1. Email Found and Domains will be Displayed as Masked Emails:

    • When the system determines that an email is available and the associated domains will be displayed, the Email Preview in Kula will show masked emails.

  2. Email Preview Not Available:

    • In some cases, the Email Preview may not be available for a candidate. This indicates that the system couldn't retrieve any information about the candidate's email before enrichment.

      Note: If the preview indicates that the emails are not available, there is still a chance that emails may be present after email enrichment.

  3. Email Found but Domains Will Not be Displayed:

    • If the system identifies that an email is present for a candidate but the domains associated with the email will not be displayed, this scenario will be indicated in the Email Preview.

We leverage two distinct vendors for Email Preview purposes. One third-party vendor enables the disclosure of candidate email domains, while the other merely verifies email availability without divulging the domains.

  • Potential Discrepancies

    • It's essential to note that Email Preview provides a snapshot based on the available information before enrichment. For enrichment, Kula utilizes additional third-party vendors. If the preview indicates that the emails are not available, there is still a chance that emails may be present after enrichment.


      Similarly, if the preview shows that the email is found, there is still a chance that the emails may not be present after enrichment, especially if the second vendor is involved and work email enrichment is not enabled.

Important Note:
Email Enrichment does not include work emails by default. This means that only personal emails will be shown in the preview if available. If you would like to enable this for your account, please contact your Customer Success Manager.
