Connecting your Google Workspace can help save time by syncing your contacts, allowing you to invite your colleagues to your Kula account.

There are two ways to integrate your Google Workspace into Kula.

A. Through Inviting Users:

  1. Click on your "Profile" icon and go to the "Settings" page.

  2. Under the "Organization" tab, click on "Users & Roles."

  3. Click on the "New User" button.

  4. Click on the "Add from your Google Workspace" button.

  5. Ensure that the following permissions are being granted by clicking on the "Allow" button.

  6. Allow the system to sync your Google Workspace contacts.

Kindly check out this article on inviting your team members to Kula using the Google Workspace integration.

B. Through Integration Settings:

  1. Click on your "Profile" icon and go to the "Settings" page.

  2. Under the "Organization" tab, click on "Integrations."

  3. Go to the Integration your Google Workspace section.

  4. Enable the "Setup" button to begin the integration.

Additional information:

  1. When a user cancels the process at any point and if the user does not grant the permission needed, Kula will not be able to integrate with Google Workspace successfully.

  2. Users with an "Admin" and an "Owner" role can connect to the Google Workspace. Once connected, all users would be able to use the integration.

Troubleshooting:

If your Google Workspace directory is not pulled even after a few minutes of successfully connecting your account, please ensure the below settings are turned on in Google Workspace settings.

If you don’t have access to view these settings, please request your Google Workspace administrator to confirm and enable these settings.

  1. Navigate to "Directory" settings.

  2. Enable "Contact Sharing."

  3. If it is turned off, click on "Contact Sharing" to enable the settings below, and click on “Save” to turn them on.

  4. Confirm if the “External Directory Sharing” setting has “Organisational data and authenticated user profile fields” enabled. Click on “Save” once enabled.

  5. Now, wait for the next directory synchronisation to happen in Kula, which happens every 10 minutes. Once done, all your directory users will be successfully synced with Kula.

  6. If it still does not work, get in touch with us at support@kula.ai.
